I need a glass fronted cabinet made,I hate poncy furniture, sorry so a clean un fussed look with as much glass area as possible.
It must be hard wood, with a beech finish front,no mdf or chipboard and a white internal finish.
I`m not too fussy about having hinged doors but I must be able to get into it with out a major dismantle job and it must be dust proof.
It must also be fixed to the wall(brick),weight, value involved, insurance and piece of mind dictates this.
It will fit into what is basically a long alcove in my hall way,so the ends could also be supported.
the size is 23ft long by 7ft 6"high and 18" deep with glass shelves at 6" intervals.(8mm thick glass)
I understand the glass shelves are a seperate thing which I already have, ready to cut to length.
obviously it would have to have vertical support at every
4ft or so and be machined to take the glass shelves.
Any ideas what sort of cost should I be looking at and how long to wait for such a thing?
I can post a rough drawing if needed.

Ball park, if we were to make it, £15 - 20000.
I wouldn't choose cheap beech either, but Oak or Ash.
In solid timber you WILL always get some movement and to make it sealed internally will be hard, but not impossible.
When you say it needs to be fitted to a wall, do you mean just fixed or suspended? At 23' long you will also probably need it in sections which also adds to the cost.

thanks for the replies,
I wanted a beech finish as its light and didn`t want to coantrast too much with the white interior,I guessed it would be a veneer finish anyhow,my last cabinet in the old house was built in situ from oak and veneered finish.
I also understand that it would need to be sectional because of the length and regarding fixing to the wall,I want them to sit on the floor, not suspended but they will never be moving again as far as I`m concerned.
I certainly dont plan to ever move again.
As for whats going in them, just a few:Dtoy cars.
