Release the album? What's the worst that could happen?
Discussion
They're actually following through with it
The album's due to be released on 23rd November (this year!). What's likely to be the first single (also called Chinese Democracy) is going round radio stations.
I linked to a youtube version of it in the music thread:

Or you can hear it on the official Guns n Roses website.
I'm getting quite excited!

I only hope that it will live up to the 'old memories'.
I fear it just won't be the same without Slash.
If you mean "Will it be like Appetite for Destruction?" It won't. Think of UYI being one evolution form the Appetite days, and this is another on top of that.I fear it just won't be the same without Slash.
From what I've heard, if someone gave you this album and told you it was by a band called The Frogs, you'd be amazed. The songs are really good, and played well. But it's not AFD, and it's not trying to be. That doesn't make it bad though.
Have a listen on that link. I'd say that's not the best new song they've done (I prefer Better, Catcher in the rye, The blues) but it's representative of the style I think.

Just reading Slash's autobiography, quite an eye opener tbh.
Quite entertaining isn't it. Just lent it to GregE240.Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
