Estate agent in Woking
Discussion
Its starting to get like some sort of property forum around here!
Anyway, we're looking at selling, currently we've spoken to Brandons, Seymours, Townsends, Keelans and will be meeting Chancellors later today.
Now, there doesn't seem to be a lot between them so thought I'd ask on the off chance if anyone has any direct experiance of any of these or any suggestions.
Thanks,
Phill

There is also Foundations, but they seem to be trying to sell off half of all the properties in the area - so I doubt you will get good service with so many properties on their books. But will give you the highest valuation
Or Foxtons, but if you think of using them, you deserve a good kicking!

My other half used Curchods to sell her house three years ago. Their valuation was realistic and they got her a quick sale (much easier back then). Can't comment on the quality of their valuations in the current market, but they were professional and good to deal with.okgo said:
Go with foxtons for a laugh, get their valuation from a schoolkid then laugh at them down the phone
Foxtons have made a strong push into SW Surrey over the last year or two. They tried to get into the Weybridge market, undercutting and over valuing to get business, but the locals were not up for it and stuck with their local established agencies - anecdotal from friends and their neighbours who live/lived there.
So it looks like they set up shop in the perceived easier market of Woking (and Guildford). Go say Hi to them, all 3 of them in the office are probably getting sick of each others company

The two I would recommend from friends who have sold through, have shut up shop. Both local, professional, personal, operating for decades, have shut up shop. One agency I knew the owner of, an honest business owner, nothing flash, just new his market, he clients and buyers (good estate agents do exist), and had been in business for 3 decades through the ups and downs. Both both have called quits, rather than another bout of cut throat business deals, paying your staff out of your pocket, and praying you make it out the other side along with the associated stress.
