If you get them as a child, and then again when your an adult, are they not refered to as 'Shingles'? I know it's certainly ment to be better to get them a child, rather than an adult.
You're right, my aunt had them. Affects the nerve endings. It's horrible, bloody great squares of cedar hanging off your body, you look like a walking Shreddie Monster...

Thankfully I have still never had them
Yes you're right, very painful apparently, which is why every kid should have chicken pox.I know it's certainly ment to be better to get them a child, rather than an adult.

I think it is still possible to get it even if you have had chicken pox as a child, but much less likely.
Icaught chicken pox when i was 29 years old.
for the first time. it was horrendous.
had them in my eyes, in my ears and inside all other orifices.
can remember thinking it was a nightmare and that i would wake up.... eventually. no such luck.
I caught them off my ex who had shingles at the time.....
the kids aged 3 years and two weeks also had them. little one was zonked on calpol.
he has aspergers syndrome now. i often wonder if him catching a virus at such a young age contributed to his condition....
