4 day week

the company I work for is going to be doing a 4 day week till xmas

apart from the small financial loss this is good news

what i need now is ideas for my extra day cheap or free (as i am allready losing money) ways to get the most pleasure from it. But as the missus will still be workin a full week we can't spend the day in bed playing hide the sausage.

What you'll find is that the 5th day is spent organising for next week and tying up loose ends... IME

I am from a manufacturing background and would warn anyone going onto a four day week to be looking very carefully for a new job.
If you consider manufacturing can return 20% profit then going from a five day week to a four day one simply removes all profit.

I've worked a 4 day week for the past 9 years.

We used to work a half day on a Friday, 4 hours, but added an extra hour to the Mon - Thurs.
