I don't like him either. Talentless public school boy. He just about gets away with programmes where they can have many many takes whilst filming, and then edit out his bumbling, but when he is on live e.g. when he anchors the cruffts coverage, you really see how s
te he is.
Any he did Peter Purvis out of the job.

'Potentially fatal'. Hmmm.
The above phrase used by a tabloid suggests to me there may be some poetic licence going on here. I'm sure The Sun would swear blind a common cold is 'potentially fatal' if they felt like it.
You are correct, it's only fatal if it goes untreated, he is now receiving treatment so he should be ok, sounds nasty though! The above phrase used by a tabloid suggests to me there may be some poetic licence going on here. "The adventurer was still planning to take part in the inaugural South Pole Race in December with Olympic gold medal-winning rower James Cracknell, according to his spokeswoman."

Fair dos though. Seems a likable chap. And keeps many a granny from reaching for the KY.
I don't mind the guy - he's a lot more committed than most TV presenters.
Isn't he the bloke who rowed across the Atlantic? It might not call for much in the way of talent, but it shows a certain pig-headed determination I suppose.
I think I saw him on an adventure series too - he took groups of ordinary people across the Andes, etc.
