Anyone else working on the wharf tomorrow? We've been sent this today:

"We have been advised that a protest is expected to take place outside the Jubilee Line tube station at Canary Wharf tomorrow, Friday 31st October. The protest is called 'Dancing on the grave of Capitalism' and is expected to start at 16:30, and continue into the evening."

Word says that these lot are going to try to "wind-up bankers"!

Steel toe caps tomorrow;)

I dare you all to go to work dressed in your finest and holding signs such as:

"I own three Porsches"

or

"I earn x Thousand pounds per week"

And end each sign with "Dance on that you grubby, unwashed, jobless, feckless ccensoredt

If Lehmans had been organised, they could have arranged a meeting tomorrow for everyone that was made redundant...!

Haven't the protesters got jobs to go to?

Don't forget to wave your gold cards at them etc etc

Make sure they don't get down into the car parks - there's some seriously tasty metal parked up and we don't want these scrounging peasant scum losers damaging them.

We had an email about this. Apparently the soap dodgers will be in Halloween fancy dress. If I see a vampire soap dodger would it be wrong to try and stick a stake through it's heart?

ETA. It wont happen. CW security is pretty good and the MET won't let anything like this happen. IMO

Was posted on our intranet at work.

Cant be your usual anarchist who wont be out of bed before 12pm and will be home watching Countdown by 4pm.

Im sure all the working folk will be knocking them down on the way to the Jubilee Line.

They are entitled to free speech, as long as it is peaceful, let them demonstrate all they want to.

It could either be a good fun party, or a complete crapfest.

(ps, I work in the City, and am not a hippy tree hugging trotskyist)

From their website:

"We wait for an invitation. If we're not invited, we stay outside"

They'd better stay in bed then (although I'd quite enjoy watching a reenactment of when the hippies tried to storm LIFFE).
