for presenters of radio programmes to say wronk instead of wrong, evenink instead of evening, speedink instead of speeding?

So why do Chris Evans and Richard Bacon do so?

If 30000 people complain about it maybe we can get these idiots off the air as well.

Apparently its a side effect of the bad northerner disease. Really quite nasty by all accounts but not a thing we can do about it.

Sadly, the post of Radio DJ seems to attract some of the biggest retards, cretins and gobstes in our society. Still, at least we know where they all are for a few hours each day. Personally I'd have most of them shot, but that's probably why I've never been given much power.

A guy at work constantly complains about everyones shortfalls in life, how everyone is a lesser being than him.

What amuses me most is that while he's pissing and moaning, every sentence has "sumfink", "nuffink" or "everyfink" in it. Or my personal favourite is "what we done was..."

For poeple on radio in the UK, surely it's a basic criteria - you must be able to speak English properly!

It's shocking being a Northerner, we talk to strangers and everything!

Hell, you can get elected to President here.

On the plus side of course the likelyhood of nuclear war is quite limited if the guy in charge can't say it.

A lot of brits seem to add an urr at the end of words ending in an a sound. What's that all about? First time I heard it was, oddly enough, at McLaren Customer Care (no I don't have an F1).

I don't know how we've survived! By rights we should have all been killed / abducted / shot by the police / snowed in under half an inch of snow by now.

Is that the same as when someone wants more than a couple of bacon sandwiches, they say "TREE BEER CAN SANDWEDGES" ? wink
