To cover up the stench of gearbox oil in my house?

I thought I would pass the time until the GP started by taking apart my broken gearbox in the basement.

Cut a long story short there are 2 packs of Rice Crispies and Newspapers soaking up the 2 litres of spilt gearbox oil.

I need ideas how to make things right before the ladies of the house return.

'Grow a pair' wont really help as I will have them yabbering in my ear whilst the race is going on and I want some food when they get home.

Crash

Set fire to the house. I guarantee the smell of the family home going up will cover up the small spillage in the basement and the ladies of the house will just be glad you are OK. It will also give you the perfect opportunity to bbq a chicken or two and some sausages, hence also satisfying your hunger pangs later. smile

I've heard cat litter is good for soaking up oil (someone dropped a bottle of olive oil at work the other day and one of the supervisors just borrowed a bag of cat litter and covered the oil with it, cleaned up easily after that).

Otherwise yes, burnt food in general should cover it up.

yes

Ultra Clumping cat litter. Costs a small fortune but its little grains of clay so once it gets wet you can scrape/pick it up and dispose of really easily.

Good idea, seeing as most of them smell just like old oil burning. hehe

Well, the ones in our house do, as they dry up and the dregs of the oil tars and smokes long before the candle expires......

Cut some hair off and burn it in a saucer in the hallway (if you have any spare).

The smell of burnt hair is well known to women and they will not notice the gearbox smell. In fact she will be very sympathetic, and you may even get steak and a blowjob if you turn up the sympathy button to 10 yes

FACT1 This tip was discovered when I set fire to the ceiling while trying to remove polystyrene ceiling tiles using a hot air gun.

FACT2 I also managed to set my hair on fire with the molten evo stick that had attached itself to my head.

FACT3 My so-called 'mate' thought it was hilarious when I rushed downstairs with my head smouldering shouting, "Is my head on fire?" furioushehe

EFA

The smell might or might not camouflage the gearbox stink... but you'll be too stoned to care what people think.
