Hope it's not a repost as i've just seen and read about it on another forum.

I wasn't going to post this as i didn't want it to turn into a sgging fest, but this is beyond my comprehension and has totally sickened me that such things in this day and age can happen.

Not the first time, not the last. Sad.

Glad I don't live in such a backwards society. Absolutely unacceptable.

I agree; sickening and makes me angry for justice; wont be any though. Unfortunately not an isolated incident. What 'fellow human beings' do to 'other human beings' world-wide just because of a different belief system indicates the perpetrators are no more than animals and deserve to be treated as such although if we were to do that we stoop as low as them.

Yes was reading about this from a link somewhere else. It's utterly apalling.

At least they don't do real sick stuff like burning people to death for believing in the wrong god, or nailing them to crosses. God help us if ever a religion like that came into being...

Sad sad story.

Too many people in Africa running around like savages, hacking people to death, burning and raping. I dont give to African based charities anymore sadly. Join the human race and I'll be happy to help.

I see where you're going with that, but I don't think Crucifixition had anything to do with religion, apart from it's role in the Christ myth. It was a form of punishment for all.

This is a weird reaction to an horrific event. There is no excuse for this, absolutely none. If you want to reconsider, and delete your post, I'll delete this one.

I was already aware of this , Westy, but, good on you for the thread.

(edit: to agree with Para.)

The problem is that you can't reason with people who think this is an acceptable way of life.

Very sad and I feel utter disgust with the courts and law makers who ordered the murder of an innocent young girl.

All aid packages should be stopped immediately until the government agree to treat people like human beings, not act like animals.

Actually crucifixition was a Roman thing, even I know that & I couldn't give a flying fk for any religion (although each to there own and all that). As for burning people at the stake, that was done for all sorts of reasons; dodgy saints, witches etc etc. But that was HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO.

Maybe it would be a good idea if civilised nations could get together to form a coalition and then go and bomb the fk out of and invade these people and impose western democracy, that might work.

Maybe someone can enlighten me...

the article said:
The port of Kismayo was seized in August by a coalition of forces loyal to rebel leader Hassan Turki, and al-Shabab, the country's main radical Islamist insurgent organisation.

Mr Turki is on the US list of "financers of terrorism".

It was the first reported execution by stoning in the southern port city since Islamist insurgents captured it.
Why hasn't anyone (I.E. the U.S. or us) done anything? Why do we let known terrorists take over st that isn't theirs? It cannot solely be down to oil.

I heard about this. Barbarians. Nuke them back to primordial sludge.
