They say revenge is a dish best served cold.

About a year ago we lost one of a pair of new kittens, we put a load of wanted posters all over the place and the OH was beside herself with worry. A few days went past and I came home to find that someone had phoned the house and effectively blackmailed my wife into handing over £100 for the return of the kitten. The worst thing was that he found out where we lived when he returned it. Should probably have called the police but did not think that it was worth it as some of the neighbours have had bricks through windows etc for contacting rozzers with problems.

Well it has been a year and I want some anonymous revenge. We only have his mobile number but he still has it (I checked yesterday) Ideally any idea should deprive him of at least £100.

Suggestions welcome. smile

I have used gumtree personal adds in revenge for some dog poo left on my car . VERY VERY affective with the right wording

Best advice? Walk away. You have been carrying this anger for ages already and you are still wound up about it now.

Console yourself that you have not risen to his level of contempt, and that in a true Darwinian style, he will upset the wrong person sooner or later and someone else will fill him in, saving you the courtcase and the bother. It takes more balls to walk away and it's not going to be too hard for him to work out where all the heat has come from. Goes around - comes around yes

Failing that, the old banana in the tailpipe still works incredibly well.. or expanding foam if you want to ruin his exhaust.

Why didn't you get him when he returned the kitten/collected the cash?

Autotrader ad for something sought after but cheap 9don't go daft though). Ad in horse and hound for 'manure wanted' paying £100 a ton?

Or just walk away.

You lost a pet, he wanted £100 reward for returning it? If it was that big an issue why not tell him to stuff it?

If it is a new kitten it is not like a dog you've had for five years, just a ball of anonymous fluff. Your wife wants a kick up the lady garden for parting with a oner for the bleddy thing as well!

+1

How did the process go of giving him cash/getting the kitten back? Face to Face.
Introduce him to a kerb?

I was out, missus dealt with the whole thing.

ETA Was fairly unpleasant to the missus about it, made veiled allusions about 'the people who have it' harming the cat and how he'd need 100 notes or it wouldn't be worth his while and that she had 10 mins to decide. Quite nasty. I was at work and didn't get messages until he'd got money and found out where we live.

Bugger. Did she not recognise him at all or see him since?

You should have called 999 as soon as you got in and say you're wife had been threatened by a stranger (possibly armed) saying that he'd taken you're pet and would be back for family members if you failed to pay.

EDIT - A few inconvient phone calls etc would no way account for intimidation/extortion of money from you.

your OH obviously wanted the kitten more than the money

forget about it, what goes around comes around he will get what he deserves in the end and if you do anything so will you.

Sorry for getting your hopes up.

Why don't you have some cards printed promising bum-sex and plaster them in the local phone-boxes.

Banana/potato in the tailpipe is a complete urban myth.

Mythbusters proved that even a feeble four banger has enough compression to blow any obstruction away.

Expanding foam is another matter though!

This has been happening for a very long time . People taking cats and then waiting untill posters and rewards are put up .

Best thing is to put an add on gumtree men_looking_men cassual section . His phone will ring like hell . And you dont even have to register , I think they ask you validate your emaail address( which can be any )

Please belive me when I say , he will have to change his phone number

The best way to find an old ad and just copy and paste in a new one ( dont forget to put his number in there )
