Can you use ITunes with a normal MP3 player? I thought the file type was specific to the Ipod.

I have mixes to download for free from my site ( http://www.djschrism-don1.com), and there are a lot of other sites out there that offer this kind of thing.

As for actual tunes - I use trackitdown, djdownload, audiojelly - but you pay for them!

Nah its not specific, you can use itunes as your media player instead of WMP on your pc, any old one and put the MP3s onto your portable player.

Itunes are AAC, if I'm not mistaken, quite a few of the new anythingbutipods are capable of playing those files.

Jamendo is quite good and legal, oh and free too smile

itunes don't work on my mp3 because they're a different format. Try airmp3.net

Here's an article in the Guardian with lots of links to legal MP3 download services.
