Anyone been yet?

I went yesterday just for a look around as I used to live near there....

A few bits of advice, If you are going to go, don't bother on a weekend!

Also, eat before you get there as every restaurant had over an hours wait at lunch time.

I thought a budy Trafford Centre was bad - this is much much worse!

the Merry Hill one? Also note you'll have to pay to park there soon as part of an incredible incentive to encourage more shoppers. Also if your car is not a 4x4, you might struggle with the 5 million speed bumps they've installed in the past two weeks rolleyes

They're to stop the boy racers.

you would think a barrier would stop them at night when they cause the trouble, or maybe speed bumps which were not so high confused

It's new.

People are attracted to new things even though they have seen a 100 House of Frasers before.

This one is new, ergo better.

Give it a month go on Tuesday evening and you'll probably have the place pretty much to yourself.

The shops must be very big, seems a lot of wasted space.

It's 150,000m2 with 270 shops.

Similar Westfields in Australia are 140,000m2 with 460 shops and they are hardly overcrowded.

Went on Saturday - impressive but a fking nightmare if you want to move more than 1mph.

Only problem is it is in such a sthole of an area that you get fat chav mums in Tiffany's squawking 'I fink your fingers are too chubby Chanelle!"

God I hate shopping centres.

Huge spaces full of monged retail sheep wandering around acting like it's the best day out a person could possibly have.

There's nowhere else in Shepherd's Bush to do anything. Just drab pubs, horrible cafes and a scruffy market. Having worked in the area for over thirty years, it's the pits. We nick named it the Bronx. Two centuries ago the Illustrated London News, said of the place, "Beware, full of footpads and ner do wells." Nothing has changed.
