Is my boiler knackered?
Discussion
My boiler is heating the house/water perfectly well, but has recently started making a bit of a boom when it fires up. It's about a year old (fitted in a newbuild house) and hasn't done this previously. Its loud enough that it can be heard 2 floors up.
Am I worrying myself over nothing or does this suggest a problem developing? TIA

I recently had the same issue with a new boiler - house circa 12 months old. Boiler then failed - turns out to be the fuel pump which needed replacing (our's is an oil fired appliance though)Am I worrying myself over nothing or does this suggest a problem developing? TIA
Done under warranty - make sure you have the commisioning details from the installer.
Not a Boiler Engineer however!

Before it blows!
Seriously though, in my experience, any time boilers change the noises etc they make it usually indicates a fault developing.
