Grants for sports clubs

[Ment-Al]

Does anyone have any experience of applying for grants to help out sports clubs or does anyone have any ideas of the likely sources of grants?

I am looking to investigate possible sources of finance to help our tennis club out with aquiring funds for flood lights.

I don't really know where to start. I have looked at 'awards for all' and will be completing the application form - other than that, any ideas?

You could try your local council, each year they give out thousands of £ worth of grants. I suspect that applications for 2009/10 will be starting about now.

Try your local Council.

Or as it is for Tennis the Lawn Tennis Association.

Yup - contact the LTA

PM me and I will send you some tips. It may take a day or two but finding grants is a huge part of what I do.

Thanks, will have a look down the LTA route. Will also contact the local council.

We have an AGM on Friday - just looking to get some info together to present.
