Given people don't know what they want, what has been people's favourite gift (give or receive)?
I really liked my Times Atlas. Also my driving gloves...

My first car was a christmas/birthday present, although it was a crappy old corsa I was happy to have a set of wheels. Last year I had a track day in an evo and a f355, that was pretty much the best experiance of my life so far.

It's beautifully engineered, really first class machining of the parts. I had the kit version as I wanted the additional pleasure of building it myself. Everything you need is supplied and it all goes together superbly. It's a precision machine in miniature, rather than a toy. It will run happily whilst sat on a cup of warm water. If you put it on ice, it will run backwards. It's a lot of money for what is essentially a toy that doesn't do anything, but I like it!

Last year the GF, knowing I liked them, called a bunch of people who were selling Carrera 3.2s. She managed to convince a man to rent his car to her for a weekend. She had also booked a weekend away for us in a castle up North.

So one weekend in February, in the lashing rain we collected the car, visited the castle and had a really great time....

Shes probably a keeper. wink
