This is numpty. If we sack everybody, do we then start again with inexperienced social workers, so that the next baby p comes along even quicker?

I emailed Haringey police yesterday to ask if they knew if this little boy had a proper funeral and if his grave received a headstone as per a discussion on seperate thread. I suppose its likely he was crimated. I didnt know who else to email. No point mailing those idiots in the council. Not sure I'll get a response as the all names are shrouded in secrecy but felt I should do something. Would be comforting to know there is something to remember him by. I hope we get to know his name someday. It would be sad that his life was treated as a nothing and in death he is still unknown

What has that got to do with the police?

If everyone involved got sacked it would be the wrong people taking the bullet. The problem is with government inquiries they are no impartial.

people should lose jobs over this, inevitably like Government staff being "fired/resigning/quitting" they will hold a position of responsibility again shortly afterwards.

People get fired in the private sector for gross misconduct, this is frankly no different.

They are a sick group of people who will do ANYTHING to sell newspapers.

I've seen how they opperate and have nothing but contempt for them, even if it is a really good cause or something to get up in arms about.

I won't sign that for the reasons stated above, plus, I feel that the primary responsibility is on the parents to ensure the health of their offspring. To "encourage" them not to behave in this disgusting (no words - sorry) way, then perhaps the penalty should be the same treatment, followed by execution.

We seriously need to examine our penal system. If someone commits this crime against a defenceless child, whether out of pissed-up-ness, stupidness, madness or anything, they need to be disposed of permanently, and be aware of that fact up front.

Social worker incompetence is a secondary issue, confused by human rights and political correctness bks making their job even harder. I have to say though, given today's system, in 60 visits, there must have been something that could have been done to spare this little fellah his misery.
