After a nostalgic toy conversation at work, I've been deperately trying to google a toy to show someone, but I can't remember what they were called. I've tried all kinds of combo's in google but haven't seen anything yet.

Basically, it was these little figures of man-like creatures with weapons, an axe, swords, a staff etc, fixed plastic models on a base. The base had places to stick plastic skull 'trophies' on. Each toy came with a set of these plastic skulls and a plastic tower they were kept in. The object I think was to roll the plastic tower, which had all kinds of stats on it like attack, defence, magic etc, and use it for the figures to fight. Whenever one of the figures won, they would take a skull trophy from the other, and place it on the trophy rack. I kept googling things like: Skull tower, battle towers, trophy battles etc, something along those lines I'm sure..
Any ideas?

This must of been late 80's, early 90's, no there wasn't a board game, but I think you could buy a stadium for them to do their little battles in? Don'y think the skulls glowed, they were like bright green, blue, orange, brown, etc plastic.

I think they sat on top of the tower and acted like a sort of cap for the tower which was hollow and contained the skulls. So you took the figure off the top and the tower was octagonal or similar, so you rolled it and it had certain attributes on the side.

Whoever then won got to keep the skulls which you could display on the figure, I remember having various coloured skulls for my one, orange, purple, white etc.

It's really bugging me now, one of those things I had totally forgotten about until I read the OP.
