Is anyone else watching this on BBC2? Absolutely heartbreaking.

It really brings home the sacrifices and destroyed lives of the families.

That was a fantastic documentary, for me it underlines the futility of these conflicts.

I was holding it together until they showed the little girl who played her twinkle twinkle song and then that was me, sobbed the rest of the way through it.

My heart goes out to those who not only have lost someone but to those who are serving and their families.

This programme was a masterpiece, I couldn't stop myself crying through out. I have recently started the process to join the RAuxAF to became a member of MERT (Medical emergency response team) as i am a NHS Paramedic in civi street and the sooner i can get out there to support/try and save those hero men and women the better.
R I P.......We will remember them.

Well made documentary.I think the words of the geordie soldier who lost his brother near to the end of the program summed it up correctly.

Was also very moving at the end showing the stone mason putting anew name on the wall...Then pans over to the rest of the wall showing spaces for further names. Gut wrenching

I agree to the posts above.

Well done BBC for putting it on. It would have no doubt been easier to put a crap film on for a Saturday night.

I really hope we start seeing a turn of views in regards to our servicemen/women. They are all heroes whatever field they work in.
