For starters I would enable MMS picture messages & change the location of the mute button, always manage to knock it putting it into my pocket....

Any others?

If you could use your MP3s as ringtones, and the camers needs more pixelage and abetter flash.
And remove the 'I love Steve Jobs and want his babies' image.

Videos, MMS and a battery that lasts slightly longer than 10 minutes.

Otherwise, not a lot.

They'd be really good if they made the smug looking early adopters detachable.

MMS
Cut'n'Paste
Remove the woeful camera and give it a decent one
Battery life is a tough one to call because the very best thing about the device (the user interface) and large colour screen sap battery life and then add 3g to that and it is a very hard fix
A better way of inputting text. For me this is the Iphones biggest failing
Stop the profiteering with O2 and offering ridiculous contracts

By about £100! wouldn't pay for another phone. So long as it texts and calls what more do you need?

Cut and paste
Decent camera
3G in an original chassis
iPhone compatible install of Open Office

That's about it, really.

Don't need video, don't need MMS, MP3 ringtones are for kids.

One add-on I'd love to see is a way of hooking it up to a projector for Keynote / Powerpoint presentations.

MMS, decent camera, video recording capability. A2DPS (I think that's what it's called) would be handy too so I could listen to the iPod function via my car stereo without needing a jack lead. Better build quality on the 3G would be good too - it's nowhere near as well made as the 1st Gen model.

Forward on text messages that I have received to someone else.

Unless someone can tell me you can do this already?

There is a small utilty called iSMS on installer that does this.

Cut and Paste;
Forwarding of text messages would be very handy;
The option of having a discrete single beep ringtone when in silent mode.

A huge amount people (me included) use their phones as little computers they carry around, and use them as such. Storing, recording, sharing random stuff.

I know. They all seem to want to talk about them too, or post stuff on the net, which they're probably doing on the thing as well.

The other day I was reading Richard Meaden on DR and he felt the need to drop into the article on V8 saloons that he had one.

I also hate the signature on the end of e-mails I receive that states: "sent from my iPhone".

I mean, "who cares".

Make the Landscape Keyboard work in every application rather than just the web browser.
Make it so you can minimise applications- would need to design another interface for this.

Make it work with Android and other Phone Os's.
