Anyone had a picture published before?

I had quite a few published over a few months for a magazine of a previous hobby, the magazine was not exactly a high profit organisation, i didnt get paid - seeing my name and pictures in print was enough for me.

at the time i enjoyed it very much, it was good practice, a reason to take the pictures in the first place and as i've already put, it was great opening the mag and seeing my pictures

Many dozens, although I keep saying never again unless the payment's right. I've just forwarded some copy and a couple of pics at the request of an editor and what do I get? A wad of cash? Nope. A free copy of the mag? Er, no. An idea which edition it's going to be in? Let me see... no. Surely an email saying thanks? No. Always the same. And the times I get decent payment I could count on a leper's hand. fking freeloaders, all of em.

Well I've sold a couple privately, ones of me appeared occaisionaly for sport. Alas not my sailing, of all my attempts I only ever got across the line first once (That's the starting line,that'll only make sense to mariners)

The magazine is Blood and Bab parties monthly I mean, SideStripe, which claims to be a publication for enthusiasts of police vehicles. Due to me only doing photography as a hobby, and the magazine been small and specialist i 'donated' the picture in exchange for a small mention and a free copy, The editor discovered it on a forum i used to use, so it was nice of him to email and ask for permission.
