Hopefully this is in the riht forum, the only other place I can think it would go is Photos & Vids.
Right a mate has offered me a Panasonic TX-32LXD500 and the correct stand, and is open to "offers", not idea what they're worth these days. Can anyone more in the know give me a clue?

Just picked a figure out the air really mate.
Rational as follows.
-It "only" 720p
-It's "only" got 1 HDMI input
-It has a "finite" operating life
-It's purchase is irrelevant, depreciation is huuuuuggge on electricals
-It's obsolete and you can buy a brand new, with warranty, all singing all dacing 42" Plasma Panny Viera for 6-700quid
-In fact you can get a brand new 32" LG plasma that is the dogs b
kss for only £400
£250 would be the most I would pay for it, in fact start your bid at £200!!!

Cheers Dave, I'll openly admit I know nothing about them, I've never bought a TV in my life just watched had other folks have got rid of when they've upgraded. I was chatting to him last night and it cam into the conversation that I was going to need a new TV soon. Any links to the 42" Panasonic and the 32" LG? Whenever I search for things like this I end up making a decision then finding some little gem of a shop that the whole world knows about other than me selling the same gizmo for 10% less.Rational as follows.

I've got the older model of that (PZ60), it's still fabulous.
There's some dudes on here that know more about this stuff than me but if you could get that telly of your mate for 2-250 quid you can't go wrong really.
Soz....my prices in the earlier post are out a bit (for the 42" one mainly). I recently got one of those LG's for the inlaws from empire direct for £400.

Right save starting a new thread, I'll bump this one back up. I didn't get my mates TV in the end, he wanted more than I was willing to pay for a second hand TV.
Anyway, this has all come about cause the missus, sorry, Santa, is getting me a Wii for Christmas. At present I have a old CRT which is fine for the what I generally use it for presently, which is Friday evening Mock the Week, occasionally Forza on the X-box and some films usually after I've had several pints of ale, but I can see myself having trouble trying to play the Wii through it. The room is about 12ft square.
Any suggestions for a budget TV that will "do the job"?
