GBP198 to supply and fit upto 80sq meters of insulation to your roof upto a thickness of 270mm (every sq meter extra costs GBP4).

Offer is also valid on a new build with no insulation, seems a very good price, is this too good to be true?

I'd be worried they'd block up the eaves.

Ah thought that was too good to be true. Wish I could find an installer that could do the same for an old house - over 100. Its bloody freezing in here frown

there is a government backed schem for all houses to be insulated.

Try a company called Insta fibre , based near Wokingham , they have a network of installers all over

I think the point is that they'll do it even if you're building a house and it hasn't already been insulated.

Why won't people do it?

Well I think Busamav answered that, or try your Gas or Elec supplier - I'm forever getting flyers about it.

We did mine recently cost about £80 for the materials (14 rolls of the 200mm stuff) and took about 1 hour but i dont have a very high loft and its awkward to do .

A straight forward loft you can stand in I reckon would take 20 minutes

Had our house done - 80m2 loft.
Cost £240 inc installation and pipe lagging.

(I beleive the company are subsidised by various government grants.)
