TV Magic Eye help

Evening all, I am hoping one of the tv/electical gurus can stop me from flinging my tv out the window in frustration.
I have had magic eyes connected to each of my tvs for two years,so that I may change the sky channel from another room. We had a thunder and lighning storm a few weeks ago and they have stopped working for some reason. (Power surge?)
My system
Sky plus in sitting room
Cable out of RF2 which goes to an amp on the outside of my house and then splits the signal in 3 and sends it to the other three rooms.
What I have tried.
The red light comes on so I know they are getting power.
I bought a new one to try but it made no difference.
If I connect straight to the RF2 out then the magic eye works (I covered the front of the sky box).
I asked the guy that fitted it all but he maintains it must be faulty magic eyes - which I know it isn't.
Could it be the amp?
Also tried switching the power to the RF2 on and then off.
If the other tvs are getting a picture and the light is on on the magic eye could it still not be getting the signal it needs?
Is there anything else I can try short of getting a new amp and trying that?

If the Eye works fine when plugged direct into RF2, then its not the Eye which is at fault.
If all of the Eyes stopped functioning simultaneously, that would point to an issue with the connection from RF2 outlet on the Sky decoder or its connection at the amp / distribution box.
Try re-making the co-ax connections at these points.
If the problem is associated with the electrical storm, then it may be that the amp has stopped correctly bypassing the return signals from the Eyes.
If all of the Eyes stopped functioning simultaneously, that would point to an issue with the connection from RF2 outlet on the Sky decoder or its connection at the amp / distribution box.
Try re-making the co-ax connections at these points.
