quick question for those that watched 'Platoon' last night

After the total dissappointment with 'Superbad' last night, I was pleased to see Platoon on again, and despite having seen it 20+ times, watched most of it again

Now, for some reason I seemed to notice a few more scenes last night, which was odd - but two scenes in particular made me want to rewind Sky (which I couldn't having turned that feature off - arse.)

Both bits take place in the final minutes, as the lead guy wakes up to mild carnage and picks himself up a cheeky Ak47 - checks the breech too - nice attention to detail, he then ignores a wounded, crawling VC (never seen that before) and heads straight for the iffy Sarg - we all know what happens next - BUT! (and this is the focus of my now admittedly lengthy question;)

• When the APC arrives the following morning, just as they are clearing up - what flag is it flying?Now, this may be the facist in me (Sieg Heil!) but is that not a German Army flag - not the Swastika, but the black German cross..????

It's probably an obsure American division, but for it's few seconds on screen, it did look a bit German to me.

Or, perhaps I've been playing too much CoD5
