I need a little bit of advice.
yesterday a tooth i had with a crown snapped off. remaining tooth root canal treated and at gumline.
crown with remaining tooth attached in handbag.
what can be done now.#
rather hoping tooth can be rebuilt and crown refitted.crowned tooth next to a gap. eating with two teeth missing on one side is not ideal.

how financially painful is this gonna be i am private, and would it be best to have remainder of tooth removed and either a bridge or a wire denture fitted.

had to pull the blighter out. gum had attached itself to one side, been in for 15 years.

I did that with a crown. Tooth had to come out. Implant. Expensive.

3 options really from what you say,

1 - If root canal is fine and remainder of tooth of sound quality i.e no decay then can you can build a core and place a new crown.

2 - If decay and root quality not good then extraction and either you leave till healed including bone remodelling and then place an implant or utilise exsisting teeth if sound and place bridge.

3 - Extract the roots, and leave not the best option but acceptable.

Hope this helps, there not the cheapest options but make sure you go see a dentist who is good!
