completed a rubiks cube?

I went shopping with the girlfriend today (again? I hear you cry. Well I'm a sucker for punishment...) and we went into this little gadget shop. For the first time ever I picked up a rubiks cube and its probably a good idea that I put it back down rather quickly, otherwise I could have got quite addicted to it.

Now then I'm contemplating buying one, have you ever had one and completed it? If so how long did it take? Or have you owned one ending in lots of broken coloured squares?

Does moving all the stickers around count?

Pick all the bricks from the cube and your left with the central square of each colour.
Re-attach the bricks in the correct order.

p.s don't take the stickers off!! They lose their stickyness after a while

You can't pull the bricks off a genuine Rubik's cube, just the copies.

My record was 2m.20sec at school , but I wouldn't have a clue how to do the last layer today (I know- I tried recently).

I tried one recently after we used to do them at school.

I failed, I'm think they must of got harder since school.
