Public Sector Employment/Costs/Rules ruining us

in the last decade my local council's Brighton & Hove amalgamated to form one council, and in the true manner of mergers leased a super headquarters big enough for both the councils unfortunatley they also kept on all of their old admin buildings and town halls---could/would that happen in the private sector definatly not....
Our Parliment is half run from Brussels do we get rid of our some of our MP's, could/would that happen in the private sector definatly not....
One thing that I'm noticing is the constant changing/addition of rules which is created (i'm starting to think) by people with nothing else better to do than try and justify their overpaid/pensioned positions and which is now effecting our ability to actually function as a country---rant over, but what are your thoughts ??
