Weeks holiday - how many clothes

Could you pack for a week long holiday taking only 15kg of clothes onto the airplane?.

I think a man could. Woman would struggle, hell the make up, hair straighteners, shower products etc... would weigh 15kg.

If it doesn't fit in hand luggage, it doesn't go with me. Concentrates the mind wonderfully when you pack.

I refuse to pay £10 for sleazyjet to carry my bags!

When I went away last month with the missus for two weeks we had a 20kg allowance each.

I packed 8kg, she packed around 30kg, after taking out lots that she wanted to pack.

7 days in cloathes.

2 pairs of jeans, 5 t-shirts, 3 jumpers, 7 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of pants (or 2 pairs if you like going commando)

Surely it depends on the destination. If you are going to the North Pole you need many more clothes than if you are going to Barbados

Should be well under 15kg...

Im going to Ireland for New Year! speedos and shorts not required.

Im thinking more along the lines of:

2 x Fleece tops
3 T shirts
7 Boxers
7 Socks
2 x shirts
1 pair of slacks

Then I can wear a massive thick coat, hat, jeans, big jumper, T Shirt etc... on the plane

Ok so I will be warm on the plane but if it beats ryanairs policy on charging to carry my luggage im happy to be a bit warm for an hour.

Depends where you're going. Last time I went to Israel on business I packed everything for the week (Saturday-Friday) in a small rucksack, including laptop & associated gubbins.

The security people were most unhappy about it (and you don't mess with the Israeli security guys) and, insisting that you couldn't live for a week out of a daypack, took me aside for a right old going over. I managed to avoid the cavity search but pretty much everything else was unpacked, examined, swabbed and chemically tested for god knows what. Moral of the story? Dunno, but next time I go to Israel, I'll be taking a big bag.
