Boiler Help

Sorry for the dull topic, but the boiler has packed up and it's bloody freezing! I think I know the problem - the pressure in the system is too low (Condensing boiler) But I can't locate the filling loop to try and repressurise the system.

It is a Compact 100e Glow worm, if that means anything and I know little about boilers....

Any help gratefully recieved, or I'm going to smell tomorrow and it's going to be a cold night!

if its too low then surely youve got a leak somewhere?

usually theres a braided hose in the boiler case that feeds the boiler and just needs connecting up and opening up.You may have a leak or have you bled the rads recently and dropped the pressure?

Could be built in look for 2 gray valves under the boiler.

Yeah, i've got till eight to fix it or i'm off to the gym for a shower (shuts at 9) The boiler pressure has dropped, I believe due to me bleeding a few radiators last night. so I pressume there isn't enough water in the system?

Thanks all the help guys, appreciate it. Pistonheads is a special place! I have the manual in front of me including said diagram. But pressuming none of them help me re-pressurise the system.


Cold water supply in as the valve is in a open position? is that for hot tap water or to pressurise system.

You are looking for a steel braided hose and two washing machine valves, probably somewhere under the boiler.

Having taken half the fitted kitchen apart, I now have access to the entire area under the boiler.

I can see two plastic (Washing machine type) connectors, both with screw valves? other than that I have:

heating flow valve
Cold water suppl in valve
Heating return valve
and a stop cock.

Still no braided hose...

You really need the braided hose to fill the system up




use one from your washing machine to get you out of trouble tonight and pick one up in the next few days


Edited to add its the two washing machine type valves you want to be connecting together with the hose ,when you have done that turn the taps on and then turn off when the dial on the boiler is up to pressure
