Those humble pie moments

Can't believe this really but just before the Mrs popped of to bed she said sorry and that she was very very wrong. I nearly fell off my seat.

We had an almighty blazing row over paying a deposit on a new kitchen. I refused to do it. Told the company I would pay some money as the work progressed and pay for the appliances in full when they arrived. Kitchen company wouldn't budge without a large deposit so I told them to forget it. The wife went nuts with me as now she won't have her new kitchen for Christmas and said I was being totally unreasonable.

Today the company (a local independant) went bust.

So what's your eating humble pie moments?

jumped to the conclusion that a work colleague was st stirring about me, when infact the guy who told me was the one who was st stirring so i went off on one with the wrong person.

i appologised today though. so things are looking a bit better

Not received, but had to eat, so to speak.

Aged 18, chatting to a bloke at college about a girl I went to school with. Claimed "knowledge" of her. An hour later, I'm sitting with someone else, said girl walks in (this was a good 50 miles away from where we went to school), spots my college friend, starts talking to him and then looks in my direction.

Embarrassment ensued.

Still, taught me a well-learned lesson.

More recently, I had to do the right thing and apologise to someone for being a total arse. While it took me an age to actually get around to doing, I felt so much better for doing so.
