Some friends of ours have had the exact same thing happen to them. F*cks you up a fair bit I think. However they're now expecting their first, everything going well, so hopefully third time lucky for them. I hope it will be for you too. And the exercise required to get there isn't bad either!

Sorry to hear the news fella. I know a few people who have had miscarriages and gone through bad times, but now have kids and happy family lives.

Good times may yet be around the corner...But its not easy and best wishes to you and the OH.

dundarach, three years ago, I was feeling as you are after my wife had her second miscarriage. We went to See Mr Rai at St Mary's in Paddington where they have The Recurrent Miscarriage Unit that investigates the causes of miscarriages. With my wife it turned out to be a blood clotting issue that prevented implantation. A daily self-administered injection of heparin from positive pregnancy test until the end of the second trimester of pregnancy turned out to be all that was needed and we are expecting our second child in March. Both have been conceived normally without IVF.

You can get a referral on the NHS after three miscarriages, but you should be able to get them to see you privately after two. I would strongly recommend it.
