Anybody done it?

The company I am working with are sending me on a days one-2-one training to deal with the press on a new product I have to face the nmedia over.

Not my favourite chore Or group of people) and I hear the Journo dong it is a right so-and-so in the training role plays to prepare you.

Yep, done it a couple of times. Its intense and often very difficult. Makes you realise that PR and Spokes person roles are actually not very easy at all. However, worth their weight in gold when you don't screw up and say the wrong thing.

Well worth the money - some people consider it almost lying, but its just about being in control and not getting twisted by a good journo as an example.

That is what I had heard. I had been intent on paying for myself on one of the open courses but this company are paying for a 1-2-1 session targeted specifically at the new product. I am pretty good on the technical questions but less so on the ethical/political stuff. I did do a short media course many years ago in a group setting but we never got to the point of giving individual feedback which is now what I need to make sure my rather glib tongue doesn't say anything politically incorrect or damaging.
