Just finalised everything and booked it up!!!
Dead excited.... should be pretty awesome.
Any one else going to be there???
I am going with:
My bird??? (we'll see if she remains that at the end of the day but thats a different thread altogether)

Mates bird
Mates birds older sister (middle one)
Mates birds oldest sister
And two of the eldest sisters mates

Nope, certainly not. Edinburgh used to be great on Hogmanay but since they started charging to go it's not been nearly so good I'm afraid to say.
Still, if you haven't been before you will enjoy Edinburgh and the fireworks over the castle at midnight is well worth watching. There's a good atmosphere and if you're there with a good group of mates you'll have a blast. Enjoy!

It's better before tbh. There is a street market on between Xmas and NYE which has a great atmosphere, a Fire Parade, etc.
The fireworks are impressive the first time.

Tip - make sure your booze is in plastic bottles, otherwise you will get it taken off you.

£17 to stand on a cold, cramped street for a few hours?over-priced???? it was only £17!!!
Couple of years ago went to Henry J Benas at the west end, was excellent - quite quiet and easy10 sec walk to see fireworks.
