I presume the moon is quite new at the moment so it will be setting not too long after the sun goes down. Venus never strays too far from the sun.

I can't get excited about astronomy. Moon, check. Venus, check. Jupiter, yep, still there. OK so the little dots move about a bit, but a nice coat of Dulux gloss offers far more entertainment I feel.

Apparently, the moon occulted Venus tonight - which, true to form, I missed as well.

That's a pretty useless moon then. It's supposed to come out at night and it's fked off early!

The moon was exactly on time. It's us that were late.
