Does anyone still use snuff?
A guy at work has started using snuff, or is it?

I bought some about a year ago, as an alternative to a cigarette, I still have most of the tin, I think using snuff has been spoiled by the 'or is it' connotations of snorting things up your nose, plus you produce a lot of strange coloured snot

Before i finished uni (3 years ago) one of the housemates went mad for the stuff for about 6 months, ended up getting all sorts of flavours over the internet.

Its a very cheap hobby, you'd have to do alot to get addicted/destroy your nose.

was introduce to menthol snuff by a couple of students in krakow a couple of years back. for the rest our our polish trip we went through 2 boxes of it. mainly for the challenge as it was fairly strong menthol.

brought some back and it was fun for a bit when drinking etc. but can't see why anyone would do it other than that.

My school physics teacher used to (and still does to my knowledge) do snuff (I finished my A Levels in 2003). He also used to spend most lunch times in the pub in the high street, and we had hot chocolate with marshmallows and an assortment of cake on Saturday mornings with him during cosmology.

Despite it seeming like we spent all our time having a good time/ripping it out of each other and other teachers, almost all of his students came out with A's.

I was out with a Finnish colleague and he gave me a pouch of some kind of spiced tobacco to put under my tongue after a meal. It resulted in a rather interesting buzz.

Apaprently that's what the Scandiwegians have been doing since the smoking ban was introduced in their countries.

It's basically a tobacco leaf made into a powder and a few chemicals added, like menthol, not sure if it the same leaf used to make cigarette tobacco or special variety though.
