Anyone here know much about this guy, read his books or anything?
My mum was telling me last night about some of the things hes predicted. And i,m pretty gob smacked tbh. Is it true? Were his predictions just very vague descriptions like we have in the bible and then people interprit them in their own ways?
She was saying about how he had predicticed Barak Obama and that he is bad?
I,m sure someone told me that there would be mutiny in the west in 10 years or so from now and if this government carrys on io could well believe that

ks.Maybe he was right, maybe he was a charlatan, but any guy who would get off his horse and kneel in front of a humble monk because he knew something could have been said to be a little forward looking.
That Monk, much later, became Pope BTW.
Oh, and the reason the quatrains were written as they were are simple. If they were plain out descriptions, poor old Nosti' would have been chargrilled at the stake for being a very naughty boy.

yep, in total, most of his predictions haven't turned out to be correct, some have due to reinterpreting what he said and twisting it to fit, and a few have been pretty good, but rather vaguehttp://listverse.com/miscellaneous/top-10-propheci...
Here's a few of the famous ones, 9/11 was caused by a volcano, and Hister sounds a little like Hitler...

The thing about Nostradamus is that with hindsight you can get his predictions to fit. Many of his quatrains can be re-interpreted.
There is no 'can' about it - they have been re-interpreted time and time again. Pretty much everything that old 'damus has supposedly predicted has been slotted into specific events and situations over the last century or so. There are virtually no solid predictions that he has got right and he conveniently missed some of the biggest events that anyone would actually get correct.
In reality, he's predicted nothing but as a figure he is used to justify the nutters and conspiracy junkies over the decades. Its an interesting history and social lesson, but solid, reliable and robust predictions? Phah, not even close - sorry.

I think you mean revolution. Mutiny is at sea. But although something has to give, I really don't see Joe Public rising up and attacking Parliament with pitchforks. They're too busy watching Casualty.The people will stand........eventually.
I don't know what the answer is. But time will reveal. Perhaps we will be shocked back to reality and united by invasion from some currently benign country.
