I am likely to be heading to Chicago for a convention in the spring(early march).

I'll probably stay on for a few days afterwards so whats good to see/do?

Many things,

For sport you have the White Sox and Cubs MLB teams, the Bulls (basketball)

The Science museum, planetarium, i would suggest Sears Tower and/or Hancock, the nice thing about Hancock is the restaurant/bar on the 99th is great at night - the down is the cost of a beer. Millenium/Grant park bar and grill has good food and a good selection of beers too.

Obviously there are the retail opportunities on Micigan avenue, and if you're into sport a bloody excellent sports shop - Sports Authority on N LaSalle. Navy Pier (ok, so some of these are pure tourist places)

My favourite places to eat are Lou Mitchells and sluggers which is opposite Wrigley Field

Dependent how long you stay there, get a merto card, it's basicaly an oyster ticket, works on "the El" and buses

depends what you are after and how long you are there for, what you want to see. Long enough you have the Blues Brothers tour, NBC studios are there, take in the filming of a show?

Ive just checked by dates and its early april so may have warmed up a bit, not that it bothers me I live in canada, the highest temp expected this coming tuesday is -22

Baseball usually starts around April 1st though. They might possibly be there for pre-season training, but they are more likely to be down in New Mexico / Florida.
