Wet shave or electric shaver,which is best ?

Wet shave, in the shower after I've washed my face and warmed up. The warmth and moisture soften the bristles and allows for an excellent close shave everytime.

Rub in some aloe vera and aftershave cream and voila ! smooth, soft and no irritation.I used to use electric razors years ago and shaved with cheap bics, always had spotty n blotchy skin. Some guys I know swear by electric Phillps razors or remmingtons, they're just not for me thanks.

Neither. . .being a near-slaphead I go for balance and adopt neat stubble thanks to my Remington clipper's minimum setting, and have done for the last 10 years. . .job done. Oh, and save a mint on barbers' fees etc. A wet razor is required to "define" the stubble so to speak.

Electric for me. Not as close as wet, but quicker and you don't cut yourself.

Best for what?

Wet shaves will get you smoothest, but electrics are not far behind.

And, electrics are quicker, safe even when you are half-asleep, and 'edge up' to beards/goatees much better.

I have both. The Braun is for daily use, but I do use the razor a couple of times a month.

A monumentally crap shave, but by God, it doesn't half wake you up - far better than all that citrus zong shower gel cobblers.

Can anyone recommend an electric shaver that really works and doesnt cost a small fortune? (cant believe a shaver can cost £200)!

I find that if I use my Philips I have to wet shave afterwards. It only seems to be able to do my chin properly, where the stubble sticks out more as opposed to laying flat like it does on my neck.
