hotel in london

Hi guys,

Going to london shopping next week, going to go up on a weekday in the evening, go for a meal, stay the night then go shopping in the morning.
I dont know London very well at all and was trying to find a fairly nice Hotel thats in a good location. Thinking of paying around £200 for 2 of us...

Any suggestions?

depends where your planning on shopping, but the gore is pretty good for knightsbridge/kensington way - and a little bit 'different'

We spent New Years here a coupl eof years ago.....

was everythign we needed - a decent nights sleep in a good location at a good price.

I always stay at the Britannia International in Docklands. It's easy to get to and it's got car parking.

It's only a couple of minutes walk from the DLR for access to central London.

Try the Strand Palace. It's on the Strand and is a good 3*** hotel. Excellent location for Trafalgar Square, Soho, Covent garden, West End, Tate Modern and Houses of Parliament. Check Hotels.com , Expedia etc

Did the same thing last week. Stayed at The Haymarket - very nice.

Plaza on the albert embankment is nice......

Stayed here last Christmas.
If you get a room on the front it overlooks Tower Bridge and you get a view straight up the Thames.
£60pppn, including a mega-breakfast.
(ETA: It's where all those "Classy apartment overlooking Tower Bridge" interior scenes in Spooks are filmed.)
