Who's got the biggest spanner?

So come on then - what ya got?

I bought a 32mm which is 16.5 inches (42cm) long. That's my biggest spanner by a long way, and it makes the rest of my tools like like a sylvanian families workshop set

I have worked on steam engines that require a 4 inch spanner. My biggest however is an adjustable that goes to 42mm.

Bottom bracket for my bike actually (the thing the pedals go round on) - 8,000 miles of all weather riding has led to it being totally seized in. Had to put the spanner on the bracket (via a home-made adaptation of the shimano tool which wouldn't pop out using a bolt and some washers) and actually jump up and down on the end to get it loose :O

I had a viscous fan spanner earlier today, but it couldn't handle the torque and was just flexing off off the nut, so I had to source something a bit more meaty!

the in law has his own comercial buisness, hes got some big spanners and wrenches for trucks, busses etc

85mm open ender is the biggest I use from day to day, and that needs a chain block hooking up to it to make the nuts shift.

We've got a 72mm at work, thats about 24"

I have a 3/4" drive Torque Wrench that's about 4ft long.

I think the biggest combination spanner I have in my set is a 38mm, might be a 36mm, used for doing up the #16 oil couplings on my ASCAR.

My dads got a 20" adjustable wrench that my brother managed to swipe from his work. He also got 2 huge pipe wrenchs that are very very useful for splitting exhausts.

I used to work for an electroplating company in the 80's, one of the polishing machines used to polish coffee percolator lids, needed an absolutely huge spanner to change the mop. When I say huge, I mean three people to lift it, let alone use it. Made by a company called King Dick!!!
