Sadly not.At a rememberance service today, someone remarked that anybody stealing from cars in the carpark should be stuck dead!
But it's like cars parked outside a church for a wedding, there will be something worth stealing

My Nan had to arrange for a neighbour to house sit for her during my Grandad's funeral as some people go through local newspapers reading death announcements, which usually include the funeral date, find out the address and then wait for the people to leave for the funeral before breaking in.

There was something in the paper recently about a family with a terminally ill daughter in hospital. The thieves targetted their house because they knew they'd be at the hostpital during the day.

This is quite common and has happened to a few of our customers. When my friends dad died i was asked to stay at the family home as he was a very well known in the area.

Also happened to at an aunts house years ago. They broke in the very night she was buried. Think they may have been a little surprised when her son came down the stairs in a rather foul mood.
