Software testing roles - any going?

I have been asked by a friend to look out for any software testing roles as he is being laid off and thought colleagues on here could possibly help out with contacts - he currently resides in Manchester but is willing to relocate.

In the current climate, I think he's going to be hard pressed. We've already laid off most of our contractors and wont be looking to re-hire for a good few months at best.

Most of the roles that i am called for are for contracts in Norway and Sweden (mobile networks)...money is good but you better like the cold

wouldn't mind a testing role in sweden, im currently permie in the UK, and touch wood fairly secure. Always open to better money though!

Most recently, with mobile phones. But looking at his CV, it looks like it is pretty wide-ranging in coverage of related industries.
