Leicestershire police are sick of serving officers being poached by Australia.

So they've gone on a recruitment drive in sunny Oz to tempt them back to sunny foggy Leicestershire...

If PC Prodigal comes back, they're going to give him £10,000...

If that doesn't hook him, they're reminding him what he's missing whilst over there..

Pure economics.

If they train anew it costs them money. If they take a transferee from another Uk force they have to take their pension liability without getting the dosh they have already paid into the scheme.

If they take people who thought the grass was greener but now realise it is infact arid and dusty and not grass at all, they have no pension liability but get the fuly trainined officer who just need a few skills updating.

Leicestershire lose officers to the Met because the Met have the London Allowance and people can get to North London to work from South Leics (especially with subsidised train travel).

Not sure about the spiders!
