What cheapish upscaling DVD player?

Personally I'd Go for another Pioneer given how long that one lasted. The DV-310 is the bottom end of the range At around £60. The DV-410 is about and is as low as £89 with full 1080p upscaling. As a bridge to Blu-Ray Pioneer do one from £349 at the moment so it might be worth considering the upgrade.

Just had a quick look for the dv-410 and it gets an awful review in what hifi.
Tempted by the Onkyo dvs406 for £100.

The media are all raving about the new Toshiba which is in that price range.
How much is hype and how much is substance is another matter however.

Doesnt the Xbox 360 upscale DVD's? And you can get the bog basic one for like £130? So you get an upscaling DVD player for £100 and a next gen console for £30. Not bad, eh?
Only downside is the noise of the drive in the 360 which can be a bit noisy, although this issue has been much improved on the later models which feature a HDMI output. (Early models had no HDMI and were noisier).
