Amazon MP3 downloads.

Hopefully this isnt a repost, search showed up nothing.

Amazon have launched their uk mp3 download site today and on the face of it it seems very cheap. All the music is compatible with Itunes etc and chart albums start at £3.

For those of you who download from itunes store it might be worth a look.

I was so excited when I came across this, so I spent a whole night going through all the songs, and adding to basket the ones I wanted to buy - only to find at the end that, because I'm not in the UK, I can't use it!
Bugger! DRM free and very reasonable prices too.

I hope they don't feel the urge to put their prices up to iTunes levels once the novelty of doing mp3 downloads has worn off...

Where are you based? They have had a us store for ages I think, so might be worth searching as they may have opened one for wherever you are now.

I started using it the other day, will definately be checking there first for any future music purchases...hopefully the prices wont rise with popularity.

Am in Italy, there isn't a Amazon.it, unfortunately, I may check out the French one. What I like about it is the sheer amount of choice, I wanted stuff like Hong Kong Garden, Crash by the Primatives, and few obscure reggae tracks - they are all there - but not for me
