What we calling fame here then, pic in the local rag, interview on local radio, national press, telly? So many degrees of alleged fame. I for one could tick all the afforementioned yet would not consider myself to have ever been famous.

my son has been in the paper twice been on the front of the hospital leaflet, and been on the local radio live today and all week advertising the Bristol big give! And he is only 9!

In 1996 I was in the Local rag as me and my Brass quartet were in the finals of a competition at the time. I have the article still but no scanner i'm afraid. I was 10 at the time.

In 1997 I appeared on a TV show called 'Sticky' which was on Chidrens ITV (Citv). I was the challenger, making a girl drive a tank round a assult course(at Mallory Park). My mum worked there and we lived 5 mins away at the time. So muggins here got ousted into the role. I still have the VHS of it somewhere, and my god is it embarrassing.

Me and a mate made the music video for this tune, the video is not on youtube I must rip a copy to the pc, if only I could find a vhs player It was on MTV, The Chart Show, amongst others. Them were the days..

As said earlier, depends what you mean by fame, but here goes.

Met Gordon Brown a couple of times, he was in the opposition at the time though.
Been interviewed on TV once, got ripped at work big time for that one.
Had a letter printed and 2 articles in Autocar about cars i bought and probably most embarrasingly, a full colour pic in the Aberdeen Press and Journal regarding a car i'd bought.

I can copy from VHS to dvd if you wish..

My 15 mins of 'fame' came in various ways, a regional BBC programme, stuff in magazines (fishing related) and skysports.

I am in no way famous though.

I've been in the Local rag a few times for sponsored Skis, old school stuff and I used to have a column in there (but thanks to budget cuts...).

When I went to Thailand a few years back (World Scout Jamboree, oh yes) some Thai people thought I was Daniel Radcliffe. Cue newspapers, radio and TV trying to find me and interview me...
The Prince of Thailand came to open the ceremony and the cameras were on me (well, some of them) for my reaction to him. Which was scary.
I had my 15 mins and it was ace. Can't find the coverage on the web, but I've still got a copy of the Bangkok Post with my piccy on the front page.

on the eve of 7/7 I was in Springfield Missouri. The girl I was staying with worked for Fox news so they decided that as I was a Brit they needed to interview me. This didnt sit well with me as they were making the assumption I knew London (as thats where we all live right) and that I cared (I was on holiday, no one I knew was involved so it didnt really register). Anyway in the interview I mentioned that after speaking to contacts in London there was a lot of suspicion that the French were involved as it had just been anounced we had won the 2012 Olympics and we had also beat them in a cook off.
