I agree with you. To me this one sounds different though. To stab someone to death and mutilate their genitals doesnt seem like a random mob of angry locals, it seems as if it's more likely to be a relative of the girl who was assaulted. In which case they would likely know exactly who it is and where he lives before he carried this out.

Assuming of course that it is the right person, I cant think of a fairer outcome.
