plasma scratch

Been offered a 42" plasma but it has a 1 1/2 surface scratch on the screen...He tells me it does not disctract from viewing pleasure...

Can this be removed by some type of specialist??

The screens have special coatings so polishing it out is a no no.

A more unscrupulous person would buy it cheap and then claim on the home contents for a new one................

They dont have coatings but it is a lens.

They're not exactly expensive brand new though.
