Diamond Earrings Advice

Ok, so there are other threads on this, but it wasn't really going to help me much by bringing up an older thread, so here we go....


I have a modest £500 to spend on the best diamond earrings I can get. What am I likely to be able to get for my money? Where should I be looking?

I know there are some experts on here, so I would like your advice please.

Seriously, all tastes differ so someones best is going to be another persons worst! Unless of course you mean best in terms of diamond quality so you can pawn them off when you're borasic and your wife/partner has left you?

Best in terms of quality of the diamond, in a white gold setting, as I can't stretch to Platinum at the moment.

No idea what the diamond quality is like.

Edit: 0.05 carat. Sounds pretty rubbish to me in terms of diamond quality (too small?). You'll probably need something unbranded and made up for you if you want a bigger, better quality?

It is obviously a bit trickier than it first seems!

I think they look great, simple and classic setting. You're bound to get a filthy shag if you buy her those. There is even a matching necklace for when you are naughty next christmas!

High street stores are never the cheapest but probably the most pain free shopping.

No doubt most posters will tell you to go to somewhere like Amsterdam and buy the diamond and have it set elsewhere or even mine it yourself in South Africa (like they did) etc etc etc

Hmm, that JP Diamonds place has good prices, compared to Beaverbrooks. For the same price, I can get double the carat, with the same 'specs' as the beaverbrooks one. (G and SI1)
